Raoul de Coucy

Raoul was born in 1186 in Coucy, Aisne, Picardy, France.¹ Raoul's father was Sir Raoul de Coucy and his mother was Adeheid de Dreux. His paternal grandparents were Enguerrand II de Coucy and Agnes de Beaugency. He had three brothers and a sister, named Enguerrand III, Thomas II, Robert I and Agnés. He was the third oldest of the five children. He had three half-sisters named Isabeau, Yolande and Ada.
