Anseric was born in 1087 in Chacenay, Aube, Champagne, France.1   Anseric's father was Milon de Chacenay and his mother was Adelaide.  His paternal grandparents were Anseric de Chacenay I and Gersinde.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 50 in 1137.1
