Aldrien was born in 0418 in Gaul.¹ Aldrien's father was Salomon de Bretagne I and his mother was Elen verch Patricius. His paternal grandparents were Gradlon Mawr ap Cynan and Tigridia Ingen Calpurnius; his maternal grandparents were Patricius Flavius and <Unknown>. He had a brother named Custennin. He was the younger of the two children. He died at the age of 46 in 0464.¹
