Thomas de Astley 
Thomas was born in 1215 in Astley Manor, Warwickshire, England.1 Thomas' father was Walter de Astley and his mother was Isabel. His paternal grandparents were Sir Thomas de Astley and Maud de Camville. He had a brother named Philip. He was the older of the two children. He died as a war casualty, Battle of Evesham in the aid of Simon De Montfort, at the age of 50 on August 4th, 1265 in Evesham, Worcestershire, England.1 General Notes
Sir Thomas De Astley, Knt. was a faithful subject of King Henry III. and held many appointments from 1241 to 1250. In 1262 he was a leader of the rebellious barons and in 1264 he was slain in the battle of Evesham between the king and barons. His first wife was Joane, dau. of Ernald de Bois
