Ethelind Zur Lippe

Ethelind was born in 1179 in Lippe, Germany.¹   Ethelind's father was Bernard Zur Lippe II and her mother was Countess Heilwig of Are and Hostaden.  Her paternal grandparents were Hermann Zur Lippe I and <Unknown>; her maternal grandparents were Count Otto of Are and Countess Adelheid of Hostaden. She had five brothers and six sisters, named Hermann, Bernard, Dietrich, Otto, Gebhard, Heilwig, Kunigunde, Beatrix, Gertrud, Adelheid and Margarethe.  She was the fourth youngest of the twelve children.
