Sir John was born about 1440 in Grafton Regis, Northamptonshire, England.1 Sir John's father was 1st Earl of Rivers Sir Richard Woodville and his mother was Jacquetta de Luxembourg. His paternal grandparents were Richard Wydeville and Joan Bedlisgate. He had six brothers and eight sisters, named 2nd Earl Rivers Anthony, Bishop of Salisbury Lionel, Lewis, Thomas, 3rd Earl Rivers Richard, Sir Edward, Elizabeth, Anne, Martha, Jacquetta, Eleanor Joan, Margaret, Mary and Katherine. He was the fourth oldest of the fifteen children. He died on August 12th, 1469 in Executed by King Richard III at Kenilworth, Warwickshire, England.-
