Addie Mae was born on July 27th, 1904 in Person Co, NC and her baptism took place in Marriage Info. Addie Mae's father was Samuel Daniel Wilkins and her mother was Lonie Katie Painter. Her maternal grandparents were William 'Bill' J. Painter and Mary Elizabeth 'Mollie Bet' Yarbrough. She had three brothers and eight sisters, named William Leonard, Garland Bradsher, Samuel Daniel, Odell Thelma, Gladys Ruth, Cecile Virginia, Kate Margaret, Rachel Love, Kathryn Lorine, Ola Frances and Clara Garnell. She died at the age of 68 on September 28th, 1972 in Durham, Durham Co, NC. She was buried on September 30th, 1972 in Burchwood Cemetery, Roxboro, Person Co, NC.General Notes
