Rebecca P. was born in 1862 in Tally Ho Twp, Granville Co, NC and her baptism took place in Census 1880.1 Rebecca P.'s father was Thomas Jefferson Wheeler and her mother was Martha Roberts. Her maternal grandparents were James T. Roberts and Rebecca Jones. She had three brothers and a sister, named Edgar Peace, Willie, Thomas Jefferson and Mary J..
