Reverend Harold Grant, age 101, born July 2, 1895 in Onaga, Ks. to George Grant and Sara Isabelle (McGuire) Walker. He was married in 1916 to Jessie Lois Bonine. They had 9 children. Harold was ordained with First Church of God, Anderson In., in Chanute, Ks. around 1928. He was minister at Yates Center, Rose, Oil Glen, Burt, Independence, Weinfield and Lexington, Ks. and Waynoka and Lookout, Ok. He retired in 1955 and moved to Oklahoma City where he became a member of Shartel Church of God. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jessie, on Oct. 16, 1983; son, Robert Lloyd and wife Leona; and daughter-in-law Ada Walker. He is survived by 5 daughters, Lavera and Bill Corbin, LeRoy, Ks., Marge and Walt Rosengrant, Kingston, Ok., Janie and Dee Paxton, Lake Eufaula, Ok., Lila and S.J. Raidt, Lake Eufaula, Karen and Ray Garr, OKC, and 3 sons, George Leroy Walker, Luther, Ok, Orville D. and Karol Walker, Lake Eufaula, and Larry and Diana Walker, Midwest City; a sister, Hazel Parker, Yuba, Ca.; brother-in-law, Thurston Coffee, Elk City, Ok. Harold has 70 grandchildren, 92 great grandchildren and 44 great-great grandchildren, and many other relatives totaling 220. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Shartel Church of God, 11600 S. W estern. Services will be Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2:00 p.m. at Shartel Church of God with interment to follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery.
