Viola (Ovie) Vernon 
Viola, known as Ovie, was born on January 21st, 1888 in Haskell Co, Texas, USA. Ovie's father was Samuel William Vernon and her mother was Martha Susan Pinkerton. Her maternal grandparents were David Alexander Pinkerton and Rebecca Akin. She had two brothers and seven sisters, named John Franklin, Little Sam, Callie, Carrie, Audie, Edna, Effie, Angie and Susie. She died at the age of 83 on February 19th, 1971. She was buried in Spur Cemetery, Spur, Dickens Co, Texas.-
