William Vavasour 
William was born in 1131 in Yorkshire, England.1 William's father was William of Vavasour and his mother was <Unknown>. His paternal grandparents were Mauger of Vavasour and <Unknown>. He had a brother named Robert. He died at the age of 60 on June 29th, 1191.1 General Notes
Knight and Lord of Haslewood
Sir William Vavasour, eldest son, Knight and Lord of Haslewood. He was a judge in the 30th of Henry II, 1184, and one of the witnesses to the charter of the Abbey of Sawley, County York, refounded by Matilda de Percy, Countess of Warwick. He held two knights fees of Sir William de Percy in 1187.
