Mrs. Lena Calhoon Gray, 82, daughter of the late Mr. Andrew Jackson Underwood and Mrs. Lizzie Buley Underwood, was born August 26, 1895, in Taylor County and departed this life at 4:45 a.m., Friday, December 9, 1977, at the Jane Todd Crawford Memorial Hospital in Greensburg. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Taylor Chapel Methodist Church. She united in marriage to Mr. William H. Calhoon, December 22, 1917, and he preceded her in death April 23, 1951. To this union were born three daughters and two sons: Mrs. Francis Stearman and Mrs. Sheila Stearman, both of Summersville, Mrs. Leonard (Katherine) Milby, Magnolia, Milton Calhoon, Florida, and Coy Dean Calhoon, Danville. She lated united in marriage to Mr. Claude Gray, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Gray is also survived by three step-daughters: Grace Snyder, Indianapolis, Mrs. Mary Jane Davis, Indiana, and Mrs. Cleo Dewitt, Greensburg; four sisters and four brothers: Mrs. Stella Coakl!
ey, Greensburg, Mrs. Beatrice Moore, Louisville, Mrs. Margaret Winders, Louisville, and Mrs. Blanche Gallager, Indiana, Ezra Underwood, Greensburg, Clarence and Garnett Underwood, both of Louisville, and Ellis Underwood of Illinois; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren and five step-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home at 1 p.m., Sunday, December 11, by Rev. Matthew Janes. Burial was in Wilson Cemetery. Pallbearers were Dale Milby, Juston Milby, Randy Marcum, L. P.
