John Herbert Underwood 
John Herbert was born on March 30th, 1908 in Kentucky. John Herbert's father was Willis H. Underwood and his mother was Florence Ermine Salsman. His paternal grandparents were Samuel S. Underwood and Sarah A. 'Sally' Thompson. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Roy Milton, Frederick Clarence 'Freddie', Elijah G., Nancy Ermon 'Nannie' and Mamie E.. He was the youngest of the six children. He died at the age of 80 on April 8th, 1988 in Hardin County, Kentucky. He was buried in Otter Creek Baptist Cemetery, Larue County, Kentucky.-
