Alexander Stuart

Alexander was born about 1530 in Appin, Argyllshire, Scotland.¹ Alexander's father was 3rd Baron Appin Sir Allen Stuart and his mother was Margaret Cameron. His paternal grandparents were 1st Baron Appin Dugald Stuart and Isabella MacDougall. He had four brothers named 4th Baron Appin Sir Duncan, Donald, John and Dugald. He was the oldest of the five children.
