Richard was born in 1540 in Bretherton, Lancashire, England.1   Richard's father was William Stone de Twiste and his mother was Elizabeth Bradley.  His maternal grandparents were John Bradley and Ann Brathwaite.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 65 in 1605 in Bretherton, Lancashire, England.1
