Alfred Staten 
Alfred was born on December 23rd, 1839 in Trimble County, Kentucky.1 Alfred's father was William Staten and his mother was Matilda Brent. His paternal grandparents were James M.? Staten and Mary Polly Herrington; his maternal grandparents were William Brent and Elizabeth Simmons. He had a brother and eight sisters, named William, Martha, Nancy, Elizabeth, Mary, Malissa, Alice, America and Cassandra. He was the oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 76 on May 13th, 1916 in Providence, Trimble County, Kentucky.2 -
