Ernest was born in 1903 in Day Co, SD. Ernest's father was William Abernathy Sloan and his mother was Eva Lena 'Evelina' Stewart. His maternal grandparents were Isaiah Stewart and Mary T. Nance. He had a brother named William Elic. He had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Milton Adrian, Ernest and Esther.General Notes
