Anthony Skeffington

Anthony was born in 1538 in Skeffington, Leicestershire, England. Anthony's father was Thomas Skeffington and his mother was Margaret Stanhope. His maternal grandparents were Edward Stanhope and Elizabeth Bourchier. He had four brothers and eight sisters, named William, Edward, George, Francis, Isabella, Anna, Katherine, Dorothy, Elizabeth, Lucy, Joyce and Mary. He was the fifth youngest of the thirteen children.
