Mary Lue was born on June 19th, 1896 in Henderson Co., KY.1 Mary Lue's father was John Matthew Skaggs and her mother was Sallie V. Roark. Her maternal grandparents were James Roark and Mary M. Roberts. She had three brothers and two sisters, named James E., Claude Ervin, Francis A. "Frank", Nora Jane and Golda M.. She was the oldest of the six children. She died at the age of 50 on March 10th, 1947 in Reed, Henderson Co., KY. She was buried in 1947 in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Reed, Henderson Co, KY.2 -
