Jesse James Sims 
Jesse James was born in January 1883 in Danville, Danville (Independent City), VA. Jesse James' father was Richard E. Sims and his mother was Nancy Susan Roberts. His maternal grandparents were Thomas Jefferson Roberts and Arrena Wortha Hopper. He had three brothers and five sisters, named James L., Thomas, Robert Everett, Mary Sue, Sally Ann, Arrena, Rachael E. and Martha P.. He was the youngest of the nine children. He died at the age of 17 in 1900.General Notes
