James Simmons 
James was born in April 1839 in Van Buren Co, TN and his baptism took place in Census 1900. James' father was Zachariah Thomas Simmons and his mother was Mary Louisa Dodson. His paternal grandparents were James Simmons and Stacy Ann Roberts. He had three brothers and three sisters, named William M., Drury, Simon Dillard, Martha Ann, Stacy E. and Elizabeth. He was the second oldest of the seven children.General Notes
