Charles Evans Simmons 
Charles Evans was born on January 21st, 1891 in Van Buren Co, TN and his baptism took place in Census 1930. Charles Evans' father was Charles Taylor Simmons and his mother was Jane 'Jennie' Phifer. His paternal grandparents were Benjamin Lewis Simmons Sr. and Nancy Caroline Beatty. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Eusebius Monroe, Jay, Joe J., Foster Victor, Caroline L. C. Mollie, Nancy Elsie, Bettie Elizabeth and Jennie Lucinda. He was the second youngest of the nine children. He died at the age of 85 on February 14th, 1976 in Van Buren Co, TN. He was buried in Town Cemetery, Spencer, Van Buren Co, TN.General Notes
