Coy A. Shofner 
Coy A. was born on January 27th, 1926 in Taylor County, Kentucky. Coy A.'s father was Joseph Edward Shofner and his mother was Lurey 'Lura' Edna Roark. His maternal grandparents were Reuben Roark and Caroline Nancy Underwood. He had two brothers and two sisters, named James N., Sam F., Olive Alvie and Bessie. He died at the age of 58 on November 11th, 1984 in Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky. He was buried in Zion Separate Baptist Church Cemetery, Taylor County, Kentucky.General Notes
Coy Shofner, 58, of Campbellsville, Route 4, died at 7:55 a.m., Sunday, Nov. 11, 1984 at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville. He was a member of the Zion Separate Baptist Church. He was an employee of Union Underwear Company, a veteran of World War II, having served in the United States Army. He united in marriage to Geneva Sprowles Dec. 6, 1946. To this union one daughter was born: Shelia Gibson of Campbellsville, Star Route. Besides his wife and daughter, he is survived by one grandson and one granddaughter: Misty Dawn Gibson and Kenton Joel Gibson, both of Campbellsville, Star Route; one brother and two sisters: James N. Shofner and Laura Shofner, both of Campbellsville, and Mrs. Alvie Shofner of Campbellsville, Star Route; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. Funeral was at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 13 at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbelslville by the Rev. Ronda Arnett and the Rev. Robert Morris. Burial was in Zion Separate Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Shively Price, Donnie Shofner, Elbert Shofner, Joe Shofner, Brian Sprowles, and Scotty Shofner.
