Mary L. was born in December 1887 in Eldorado, Union Co, AR and her baptism took place in Census 1900. Mary L.'s father was John Albert Roberts and her mother was Mary Susan Tankersley. Her paternal grandparents were Jabez S. Roberts and Elizabeth A. Roberts. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Frances Albert, Roland, Johney Edna and Bertie T..
