Cinthy was born in 1862 in Caswell Co, NC.1 Cinthy's father was John R. Roberts and her mother was Mary J. Parish. Her paternal grandparents were Elijah Roberts and Rebecca B. Davis. She had two brothers and four sisters, named James William, Elisha Thomas, Nancy, R. J., Sally R. and Mary M.. She was the third youngest of the seven children.1 General Notes
