Bertie Roberts 
Bertie was born in 1915 in Cherokee Co, NC. Bertie's father was John D. Roberts and her mother was Ollie Coleman. Her paternal grandparents were John Wesley Roberts and Josephine M. Parker. She had four brothers and six sisters, named Steve Elisha, Bass, Decater, Olen, Bessie Isabelle, Clara Christine 'Tina', Mae, Ethel, Jane and Lillie Ben. She was the second youngest of the eleven children.General Notes
