Katherine Preston 
Katherine was born in 1525 in Preston Richard, Heversham, Westmoreland, England. Katherine's father was Sir Thomas Preston and her mother was Anne Thornburgh. Her maternal grandparents were William Thornburgh and Elizabeth Broughton. She had three brothers and four sisters, named Sheriff of Lancashire John, George, Christopher, Dorothy, Helen, Elizabeth and Anne. She was the youngest of the eight children.-
