Pleasant Poteet 
Pleasant was born on July 30th, 1817 in Livingston, Overton County, Tennessee.1 Pleasant's father was William Poteet and his mother was Sarah Cooper. His paternal grandparents were William Poteet and Keziah Maybe Detheridge; his maternal grandparents were Nathaniel Cooper and Christiana Hughes. He had three brothers and a sister, named Kennedy, Thomas, Samuel and Christene. He was the second oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 33 in 1850 in Green Co., Kentucky.2 -
