Robert was born in 1527 in Browsholme Hall, Mitton, West Riding, Yorkshire, England.1 Robert's father was Edmund Parker and his mother was Elizabeth Jennett Redmayne. His paternal grandmother was Elizabeth Parker; his maternal grandparents were John Redmayne and Elizabeth Parker. He had a brother and two sisters, named Giles, Jennett and Elizabeth. He was the second oldest of the four children.-
