Laura Alice PAYTON 
Laura Alice was born on March 20th, 1870 in Parke Co., Indiana.1 Laura Alice's father was John A. PAYTON and her mother was Lucinda Jane JOHNSON. Her paternal grandparents were James Franklin PAYTON and Elizabeth RUSH. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Marion A., Rudy I., Fred Otis, Etta May and Mary Elizabeth. She was the oldest of the six children. She died at the age of 81 on March 29th, 1951 in Indiana. She was buried in Rockville Cemetery, Parke Co., Indiana.2 2 General Notes
