Alta D. was born on July 15th, 1914 in Grayson County, Kentucky. Alta D.'s father was William Henry Morrison and her mother was Willie Lawson Shrewsbury. Her paternal grandparents were James Thomas Morrison and Lydia Ann Armes. She had a sister named Bernice C.. She was the younger of the two children.General Notes
