Maud Montacute 
Maud was born in 1307 in Salisbury, Wiltshire, England.1 Maud's father was Baron Montague William de Montague and her mother was Elizabeth de Montfort. Her paternal grandparents were Simon de Montague and Hawise de St. Armand; her maternal grandparents were Peter de Montfort II and Mathilda de la Marr. She had three brothers and six sisters, named William, Edward, Simon, Elizabeth, Alice, Mary, Katherine, Hawise and Isabel. She was the fifth oldest of the ten children.-
