Donnchad was born in 0733.1   Donnchad's father was High King of Ireland Domnall Midi and his mother was Ailbine ingen Ailello.  His paternal grandparents were King of Uisnech Murchad Midi and <Unknown>. He had three brothers and a sister, named Muiredach, Diarmait, Murchad and Eithne.  He died at the age of 64 on February 6th, 0797.2
