John McIlvane 
John was born about 1640 in Grimmet Estate, Ayrshire, Scotland. John's father was John McIlvane and his mother was Julianna Shaw. His paternal grandparents were John McIlvane and Jane Anne Corry; his maternal grandparents were James Shaw and Margaret Montgomery. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Gilbert, Quentin, Andrew, Julianna and Anne. He was the youngest of the six children. He died about 1700 in Ayrshire, Scotland.General Notes
