Sigurd, known as Jorsalfar, was born about 1094 in Bergen, Norway.1   Jorsalfar's father was King Magnus (Barefoot) Olafsson of Norway and his mother was Margareta Ingesdatter.  His paternal grandparents were King Olaf Haraldsson Kyrre of Norway and <Unknown>; his maternal grandparents were King of Sweden Inge Stenkilsson I and Queen Helena Torildsdatter Blot-Sven of Sweden. He had four brothers and a sister, named Olav, Oystein, Sigurd, Harald and Ragnhild.  He was the second oldest of the six children.  He died in 1130 in Bergen, Norway.2
