Thomas Alexander MURROW 
Thomas Alexander was born on June 5th, 1839 in Parke Co., Indiana.1 Thomas Alexander's father was Benjamin Lewis MURROW and his mother was Sarah BLUE. His paternal grandparents were James MURROW and Rebecca WALLINGFORD; his maternal grandparents were David BLUE and Phoebe WALLINGFORD. He had two brothers and three sisters, named James Riley, David Blue, Margaret Ann, Martha Ellen and Mary Jane. He was the second youngest of the six children. He died at the age of 73 on August 16th, 1912 in Lucas Co., Iowa.1 General Notes
BIOGRAPHY: In 1850 he moved to Mahaska Co., Iowa and lived there until 1864. Then went out west for gold and returned to Mahaska County. Moved to Poweshiek Co., Iowa to farm for four years and returned again to Mahaska County. In 1878 he moved to Lucas Co., Iowa. Farmed for two years before purchasing store in Russell. Grocer in and ran post office for Russell, Lucas Co., Iowa.
