Emperor Romanus Lekapenos of Byzantium I

Romanus was born in 0869 in Lakape, Armenia.¹ Romanus' father was Theophylaktos Abstartus and his mother was <Unknown>. His paternal grandparents were Nikephoros Prokas and Maliene Maleines. He was an only child. He died at the age of 78 on March 15th, 0947 in Isle of Prote, Makedhonia, Greece.¹
