George Elbert Knight 
George Elbert was born on May 22nd, 1883 in Huntsville, Yadkin Co, NC. George Elbert's father was Thomas Benton Knight and his mother was Mary Mahalia Carter. His paternal grandparents were John C. Knight and Elizabeth Roberts. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Fountain Martin, Thomas Benton, Nora Ellizabeth, Ida M., Olivia E. and Augusta Eugenia. He was the third youngest of the seven children. He died at the age of 90 on November 6th, 1973 in Madison, Rockingham Co, NC. He was buried on November 8th, 1973 in Ellisboro Baptist Church Cemetery, Madison, Rockingham Co, NC.General Notes
