Benjamin was born on August 27th, 1657 in Hingham, Plymouth, Massachusetts. Benjamin's father was Humphrey Johnson and his mother was Eleanor Cheney. His paternal grandparents were John Johnson and Mary Heath. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Isaac, Nathaniel, John, Mehitable, Martha, Margaret, Mary and Deborah.-
