Philadelphia Wills: Peter Hauch with Nicholas Kemmer witnessed the will
of William Mumbaur in 1750 Frederick Twp. Maria Barbara Hauch, wife of
Jacon Hauch d. 02-5-1772, age 86. Buried in Zieber-Schwenk burial
ground. (Eighteenth Century German Emmigrants).
The book also references Johann Nicholas Schiel whose mother was
Elizabeth Elizabetha Houch, July 1689) daughter of Mattheis Houch of
Lagenbach. Johan Nicholas came to America on the Royal Judith in 1739 and would have been Johan Peter's first cousin and Jacob's nephew and they were manumitted together. (per Grady Loy-Japan).
