Hannah was born about 1637 in Charlestown, Suffolk, Massachusetts, USA.1 Hannah's father was Thomas Hewitt and her mother was Ann Needham. Her maternal grandfather was Zachariah Needham. She had four brothers and two sisters, named Eliphlet, Ephraim, Thomas, Israel, Mehetable and Mary. She was the third oldest of the seven children.General Notes
