Mae Carter Hampton 
Mae Carter was born on April 17th, 1917 in Rockingham Co, NC. Mae Carter's father was William Walter Hampton and her mother was Lizzie May Carter. Her paternal grandparents were James Harris Hampton and Rebecca Catherine Klyce. She had three brothers and a sister, named William Walter, David Carter, James Harris and Lettie Klyce. She was the second youngest of the five children. She died at the age of 83 on June 13th, 2000 in Stuart, Patrick Co, VA. She was buried in Lawson Cemetery, Eden, Rockingham Co, NC.General Notes
