James Cornelius Goforth 
James Cornelius was born on April 8th, 1882 in McDowell Co, NC. James Cornelius' father was James Marion Goforth and his mother was Harriet Anna Giles. His paternal grandparents were George Goforth and Nancy Jane Houser. He had seven sisters named Ida Delphinia, Emma Lou, Catharine 'Katie' Irene, Finnie Atherton, Margaret 'Maggie' Miriam, Mamie Louola and Allona Valerie 'Lona'. He was the fourth youngest of the eight children. He died at the age of 91 on April 8th, 1973 in Rutherfordton, Rutherford Co, NC. He was buried on April 11th, 1973 in Trinity United Methodist Church Cemetery, Mcdowell Co, NC.General Notes
