Clifton Walton was born on December 31st, 1895 in Dawson Co, GA. Clifton Walton's father was Charles Lee Goforth and his mother was Emily Ellize McClure. His paternal grandparents were William Clayton Goforth and Jane Christina Houser. He had three brothers and three sisters, named John Allen, Charles Lee, Clinton Harold, Charlotte Ann 'Annie', Emily Isabelle and Ruth H.. He was the second youngest of the seven children. He died at the age of 58 on March 2nd, 1954 in Gainesville, Hall Co, GA. He was buried in Woodlawn Cemetery, Gainesville, Hall Co, GA.General Notes
