James Walter Gates 
James Walter was born on September 13th, 1929 in Orange Co, NC. James Walter's father was Fletcher Thomas Gates and his mother was Myra Caviness Roberts. His maternal grandparents were Francis 'Frank' Albert Roberts and Elizabeth 'Bette' Ann Crabtree. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Wildred Odell, Clarence Franklin, Fletcher Thomas, Lurina and Frozie Lee. He died due to Gasoline burns at the age of 12 on September 5th, 1942 in Durham, Durham Co, NC. He was buried on September 6th, 1942 in New Sharon Methodist Church Cemetery, Hillsborough, Orange Co, NC.General Notes
