Frances was born about 1782 in Rowan Co, NC.  Frances' father was Francis Gardner and her mother was Jennett (Jane) Kerr.  Her maternal grandparents were Andrew Kerr and <Unknown>. She had a brother named David.  She was the younger of the two children.
