James Reid Fulkerson 
James Reid was born in 1824 in Green Co., Kentucky. James Reid's father was James D. Fulkerson and his mother was Margaret Hornback. His paternal grandparents were John Fulkerson and Margaret Bruner. He was an only child. He died at the age of 73 in 1897.General Notes
He went by the nickname "Jim." The last name was also sometimesspelled "Faulkner." At the age of 25, Jim moved to Harrison County,Indiana, near Corydon. He moved to Daviess County, Kentucky when hewas 55 years old, in 1879. He is referred to in a local history bookas "one of Daviess County's well-to-do farmers."
He married again at age 72 a lady named Selista. They only livedtogether three months. Distressed over the breakup, he hanged himselfin a barn 100 yards from his house at 1:00 p.m. on Christmas Day of1897.
