Devoid Emerald was born on August 16th, 1910 in Missouri. Devoid Emerald's father was Charles Brown Foster and his mother was Harriet Ellen Nellie Dixon. His paternal grandparents were John Wesley Foster and Mary Anne Fitzgerald. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Harry, Oscar, Roy, Charles W, Alfred V, Lucy and Sarah J. He was the youngest of the eight children. He died at the age of 78 on March 30th, 1989 in Eldon, Miller, Missouri, United States of America.-
