William Forbes 
William was born about 1566 in Corse, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. William's father was William Forbes and his mother was Elizabeth Strachan. His paternal grandparents were Patrick Forbes and Marjory Lumsden. He had five brothers and five sisters, named John, Arthur, Alexander, James, Robert, Margaret, Agnes, Jane, Elizabeth and Mary. He was the oldest of the eleven children.-
