Bertha Ellen was born on February 17th, 1908 in Charleston, Coles, Illinois, USA. Bertha Ellen's father was James A L Z Easton and her mother was Fannie Mae Goens. Her paternal grandparents were Van Doughty Eastin and Permilia Nees. She had five brothers and five sisters, named Bert Lester, William Lucien, James Robert, Raymond Franklin, Lee Fredrick, Lillie Mae, Clella, Blanche Myrtle, Elva Esther and Pearl Audrey Clementine. She was the fifth oldest of the eleven children. She died at the age of 76 on February 29th, 1984 in Waterloo, Monroe, Illinois, USA.-
